Savings by the tonne
Encouraging our customers to cut down on energy is not something new for us. Since 2001, we have helped customers with over 130,000 energy efficiency projects that have helped keep more than one million tonnes of GHGs from being released into the atmosphere. That’s equivalent to 250,000 fewer cars on our roads. But we’re not stopping there: by 2023, Énergir will have helped its customers increase their energy savings by 30%.

Solar Preheating at Air Transat
In 2015, Air Transat installed a solar wall on its maintenance hangar located near the Montréal-Trudeau airport, thanks to a Solar Preheating Grant under Énergir’s Energy Efficiency Program – Renewable Energy. Energy efficiency in Québec City
When the Parc Chauvreau indoor soccer complex was built, Québec City made sure to minimize energy loss by opting for a motion detection system that can either start or stop the heating depending on the level of activity at the complex.
