  • How long does it take to get connected?

    A series of deadlines must be arranged, so it’s never too early to make your request. It usually takes about six weeks to install a new connection, or about nine weeks if the gas network must be extended. The meter is installed on the same day as the connection is made.

  • Where can we find construction heating equipment?

    They can be rented from several suppliers.  Here are a few:

  • Who install this equipment?

    An Énergir Certified Natural Gas Partner or a certified natural gas plumbing contractor must do the installation. Then an Énergir technician will follow-up to confirm the installation and start the metre.

Only buildings within proximity of the natural gas network are eligible for the grant. . To benefit from the grant, you must submit a signed contract for the distribution and sale of natural gas to the contractor in charge of the work or to the Énergir representative. Grants will only be paid once the natural gas equipment is installed. A five-year natural gas supply contract is required. The eligibility criteria are listed in the Consumption Rebate Program guide approved by the Régie de l’énergie, a copy of which may be obtained on request. Grant amounts must not exceed eligible expenses. Program conditions and grant amounts may also be subject to change without prior notice.
